6 crazy qUiRks I have......

Tagged from April.....
Defination of quirk:
n.1. A peculiarity of behavior; an idiosyncrasy: "Every man had his own quirks and twists" Harriet Beecher Stowe.
2. An unpredictable or unaccountable act or event; a vagary: a quirk of fate.

Rules: Link the Person who Tagged you. Mention rules on your blog. Tell about 6 quirks of yours. Tag 6 fellow bloggers to do the same.Leave a comment to let them know.

1. I have to eat breakfast everyday. Whether it is 7am or 7pm

2. I love to stay in my PJ's all day long. Drives Jeremy insane because when he gets home he wants to do something but has to wait for me to get ready.

3. Everytime I go to the grocery store I always have to go down the baby isle and by something for Madilynn. This also drives Jeremy insane.

4. I check my bank account everyday. Which takes away any surprise that Jeremy might have for me.

Geez this is hard......

5. When I DO get ready, I have to do it in order or I would forget to put on my deodorant or wash the shampoo out of my hair.

6. Well last but not least, I am obsessed with checking my e-mail and blog everyday to see whats new with everyone I know.

I tag,
Paige, Melissa, Nisa, Bridget, and Nicole.

Hope you have fun doing this.........

When: This Friday (9-26-08)
Time: Starts at 7 o'clock and it's an open house. I figure it will go for about 2 hours
Who: You are all invited. Bring all your friends and family too.

sTuCK aT WoRK aNd iTs 4 am

So I am completly bored out of my mind. I didn't go into work earlier on Thursday because I wanted to have a little more Madi time and besides I think that she had a really bad tummy ache. Well then I got the bright idea to go into work while Madi was sleeping (but I don't think I thought this through because I don't know what I am going to do tomorrow or today when I can't keep my eyes open) and work at night and do my unit dosing then. Boy I am done and it's 4 am and I still have at least an hour and a half and I have nothing to do. Hense the blogging. I think I might start doing this as my normal thing, but I guess I need to keep myself busy through out the night or it won't work. I think now that I have gotten to the point of blabbing about nothing. So anyways just thought I would say hello to everyone.

Tanille's 8th Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TANILLE!!!!

We went to the Mayan for Tanille's birthday. All she could talk about when we got there was the huge snakes out front. So I guess it was appropriate to take her picture in it.

Taryn, Tanille, and Tyler. (And yes ladies it's not a great pic of Tyler but he is single)(He is going to kill me for putting that)

Had to take a chance for a family picture.

Here is the bunch of us. My mom was there but insisted on being the one to take the pic.

We can never own a goat.

So Jeremy makes these crazy sounds to see Madilynn's reaction. Well he made a sound like a goat and this is what we got.

I felt so bad for her. She totally freaked out.

So this is what happens when Dad feeds me.....!

I guess Pepper will never go hungry. He loves the baby food just as much as she does.

My first little pony

I have to say, I haven't seen too many people be able to put their 7 month olds hair into a pony. And I love the cute little headbands with the flowers and such, but when you have a head full of hair, it just doesn't work. I love it because she already does the smoochy lips.

SADS Awareness Month

So our friends the Miller's have this syndrome in there family. And so I want to show my support and post this information to get the word out like Melissa says, "It could save someones life".

So if you can repost this on your blog to get the word out. Thank You.

Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome (SADS)

Here are some eye grabbing facts to help you along...

• Each year in the United States, 400,000 Americans die suddenly and
unexpectedly due to cardiac arrhythmia's. 3,976 of them are young
people under age 35

• Long QT Syndrome (LQTS) is 3 times more common than childhood
leukemia (ALL) in the US and occurs 1/3 as often as cystic fibrosis and
twice as often as PKU (an infant protein deficiency which causes
mental retardation)

• SADS occur in about 240 people per 100,000, with 20 having LQTS,
20 having ARVD and 200 with HCM

• 1 in 200,000 high school athletes in the US will die suddenly, most
without any prior symptoms

Hundreds of children and young adults die each year in the United States due to Long QT Syndrome.
Any young person who has experienced unexplained fainting should be tested.
It is extremely important that all family members be tested for these conditions once one family member is identified as having the condition.
SADS’ Mission: To save the lives and support the families of children & young adults who are genetically predisposed to sudden death due to heart rhythm abnormalities.
Long QT Syndrome
(LQTS)
What is Long QT Syndrome (LQTS)?
1. LQTS is a disturbance of the heart's electrical system, causing an abnormality of the heartbeat, or rhythm of the heart.
2. Because of this abnormality, affected people are vulnerable to sudden fainting (syncope) and even death.
3. Unfortunately, many times the cause of the syncope is overlooked and the events are called simple fainting spells or seizures.
4. Most often, these events occur during physical exertion or emotional stress. In some they occur during sleep.
5. Fortunately, most of these deaths are preventable if the condition is recognized and treated.
What are the Symptoms?
♥ Fainting episodes (syncope) during or immediately after physical activity
♥ Fainting as a result of emotional excitement/distress/startle
♥ Family history of unexplained death below age 40
How is it Diagnosed?
The diagnosis is made from an ECG that has been read by a cardiologist, not a computer. Usually a series of ECGs will enable your doctor to diagnose LQTS. In some cases, an exercise ECG or event monitor will clarify the diagnosis. Finally,a diagnostic genetic test is now available and is extremely useful for diagnosis and treatment.
How Is It Treated?
Treatment is very effective in the vast majority of patients. Medications called beta-blockers are effective in about 90% of patients. In the remaining cases, a pacemaker or automatic defibrillator is used.
A child should be seen by a doctor if she/he has:
• Family history of unexpected, unexplained sudden death in a young person
• Fainting (syncope) or seizure during exercise, excitement or startle
• Consistent or unusual chest pain and/or shortness of breath during exercise
