Bear Lake and the Baby Raccoon
We went on our "first" family outing. We went for a drive up to Bear Lake. It was mine and Madilynn's first time to see the lake. While we were there, we decided to get out and just relax under this huge tree. While we were sitting there with my back to the tree, Jeremy said, "Don't move" I was sitting there thinking that there was a bear behind me. But little did I know it was a cute little baby raccoon.
Jeremy just couldn't resist, he had to get as close as he could to it. But I guess my definition of getting close to something is much different than his.
Yep that's right.....Jeremy is holding the raccoon. I was freaking out. All I thought about was rabies, I mean yea I looked at it but I was in the car with the doors locked and Madilynn tightly in my arms. Poor Pepper, we left him outside with Jeremy.
We learned how to finally use our timer on our camera. So here was our first attempt and it actually worked. Can you tell it was a little bright and windy outside???

We can't forget Pepper!!!
This is Pepper before Madilynn came along
Jeremy had him be our test baby to figure out how to use the carrier! It was so funny to watch but not good on the bladder when you are 8 months prego!
This is Pepper after Madilynn is born. Does he look a little tired?
Pepper figured if Madilynn used the chair, why couldn't he? Now I know what he did while we were away!
Finally home!!!!!
Grandma Pam visiting me when I got home.
So it was RSV season obviously! And with Madilynn having stayed in the NICU I wasn't going to take any chances. So I had to have my nieces Taryn and Tanille mask up. They didn't get to see Madilynn at the hospital so this was there first time seeing Madilynn.
Tanille thought she was a Dr. and didn't think much of it. It caused attention to her so she didn't mind.
Taryn all masked up. I know she felt dumb because she is almost a teenager and it was just stupid.
Meet Madilynn
When Madilynn was born, she was having a hard time breathing-they said that she had fluid in her lungs-so she spent a week in the NICU. And yes that is all of her hair......I had horrible heartburn now I know why!
It was so hard to have her in the NICU when I went home. But I know it was for the better. Everything has been fine since.
I was so excited to bring her home. This is Madilynn prepared for the great outdoors.
